My story; Recovering a stolen Blackberry
While on leave from Marine duty in May, I was partying at the Deluxe Bar and Restaurant in Detroit, Michigan celebrating the Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup Playoff’s. At the end of the night as I was at the bar paying my tab, someone stole my new Blackberry Bold Smartphone from the table I was seated at. I searched the bar but came up empty handed.
The next morning I decided to try and locate the stolen phone. Fortunately, I had recently installed Breadcrumb family locator software on my Blackberry. I turned on my laptop computer and double-clicked on the Breadcrumb family locator software icon. Miraculously, I was able to view the location of my Blackberry phone on a Google map and then zoom-in on its current location; the back corner bedroom of a residential home in Adrian, Michigan.
I then jumped in my car and drove an hour and half to the Adrian police department. I arrived at the station and requested that an officer accompany me recover my stolen phone from a local residence. The Adrian police were really impressed that I not only knew the exact location of my phone, but I was also able to show them a “breadcrumb” trail of the route the thief took after leaving the Deluxe bar at 3:04 am and arriving home at 4:42 am Saturday morning.
One of the officers went around to the back of the house while the other officer pounded on the front door with a heavy metal flashlight. After three knocks, a sleepy and disheveled young man opened the door. Upon seeing the officer and me standing in his doorway, he turned white as a ghost. At that point, the officer said to him “I think you know why were here”. The young man said “yes sir”, walked back into the house and returned within seconds with my new Blackberry Bold phone.
Breadcrumb solved the case of the missing Blackberry.
